Required Skills:
1.The Resource must have five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, working as a senior data governance specialist, with a current certification in at least one of the following recognized data governance organizations:
- DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- Certified Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) by ICCP
- Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer® (CDPSE®) by ISACA
- Applied Data Governance Practitioner Certification Program (ADGP) by Dataversity
- Information Governance Professional (IGP) by ARMA
- Data Governance (ISO/IEC 38505) Foundation certification exam by ITCERTS (Canada)
- Atlan University Certifications
2.The Resource must have a minimum of five (5) years of core data governance and policy experience within the past ten (10) years in each of the following areas:
- Developing enterprise-level data initiatives (e.g., data cataloging, metadata management, developing a data governance framework).
- Skilled at developing and enforcing data standards, stewardship models, and data policies.
- Experience with data ownership and accountability structures.
- Knowledge of data compliance requirements.
- Experience in data maturity assessments including evaluations of an organization’s ability to manage, analyze, and utilize data effectively to create a roadmap for enhancing data flow and capabilities over time.
- Skilled at analyzing data issues and proposing governance solutions.
- Conducting training sessions and workshops on data governance practices and principles.
3. The Resource must have a minimum of five (5) years of data governance analytical experience within the past ten (10) years in each of the following areas:
- Skilled at analyzing data issues and proposing governance solutions.
- Ability to translate business needs into data governance requirements.
- Experience mapping and maintaining data dictionaries, business glossaries, and lineage diagrams.
- Experience developing metrics and dashboards to track governance adoption and effectiveness.
- Collaborating with data owners and cross-functional teams to maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
- Developing DG documentation and implementing data standards, policies, and procedures to create and support data governance frameworks that ensure data integrity and quality including identifying data-related issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Leading the documentation tasks for data governance decisions, procedures, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, audits, outcomes, and metrics/KPIs.
- Reviewing and auditing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Conducting data quality assessments in accordance with DAMA or similar standard frameworks.
4.The Resource must have a minimum of five (5) years of core data governance technical experience within the past ten (10) years in each of the following areas:
- Proficiency with data governance and data orchestration tools.
- Ability to define quality rules, monitor metrics, and remediate issues.
- Using data analysis tools such as SQL, APIs, Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), Python, or R, must be proficient in querying, analyzing, and manipulating data to extract meaningful insights.
- Designing and implementing ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources.
- Building dashboards and reports by using visualization tools.
- Experienced with identifying data quality issues and developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
5. Resource must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the past five (5) years in utilizing each of the following tools:
- SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
- Microsoft Visio
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Teams
Desired Qualification:
Bachelors or Master Degree in Data Analysis, Statistics or similar.
