Title: AI Security Engineer

Type: Contract to Hire

Location: Remote, based out of Maryland

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the hospitality group, is seeking a AI Security Engineer to join their growing team! This group is prioritizing candidates with a strong background in AI governance, model risk management, and AI safety program development. Must have experience in navigating complex governance processes and working with stakeholders to gather and disseminate technical information. While technical skills, especially in cybersecurity, are a bonus, the primary focus should be on the ability to manage program governance effectively.

Paperwork Heavy: Expectation is that 50% of the role will involve paperwork related to merit governance processes. This means working with stakeholders to gather and provide technical information.

Governance Responsibilities: Includes model risk management and setting up AI safety programs.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with a strong governance background, experience in AI safety, and ideally some technical chops to understand cybersecurity aspects. •

Technical Skills: Technical skills are a plus, especially in cybersecurity, but not the primary focus.
