Position: Business Development Manager
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Clinton Township, MI (hybrid/remote work can be negotiated)
Pay: $120,000 – $155,000 based on experience and qualifications

Position Summary:
Seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team in the world of high-value machined components. The ideal candidate will have sales experience and an existing network of contacts in aerospace, defense, or government sectors, along with experience in manufacturing or similar industries to understand how the company operates. The role focuses on managing and growing existing client relationships while also identifying opportunities for new business. Knowledge of Tier 1 contracts or machined products is a plus, but strong sales and relationship-building skills are key.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain Healthy RFQ Flow required to meet company revenue targets
- Provide Customer Research to determine new potential clients
- Provide Revenue Projections by customer/year
- Prepare, present, and maintain compelling Presentations and Proposals for specified Customers and General Marketing Info
- Perform and Track specified Quote follow up
- Utilize network of contacts to identify and secure new business opportunities
- Drive sales growth through proactive engagement with customer contacts
- Develop tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and exceed sales targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are comprehensive and competitive
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop and implement strategic account and market segment plans to achieve company revenue goals
- Track and report on sales performance metrics
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and events
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies
- Develop and maintain Hubspot CRM or similar
Position Requirements:
- Proven sales experience in aerospace, defense, or government sectors
- Established network of industry contacts in these sectors
- Prior engineering, manufacturing, or sales experience with machined products
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience with Tier 1 contracts preferred
- Familiarity with CRM and shop systems (Hubspot CRM, ECI JobBOSS, Paperless Parts) preferred
