Role Description
This is a Contract position for a Machine Learning Engineer. Those interested in this opportunity will complete a simple technical assessment to gauge their problem-solving and implementation ability. The turnaround time is approximately one week. Applicants who pass this assessment will have the opportunity to interview with a stealth startup whose CEO was employee #50 at Anthropic and helped build pretraining pipelines for Claude.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python and key ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, NumPy, pandas, etc.)
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals — data structures, algorithms, and statistics
- Experience developing or fine-tuning ML models (academic or professional)
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Experience with multimodal models (text + image, audio + video, etc.) is a plus
