ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain a strong field presence within the assigned territory by conducting regular in-person client visits, prospecting new accounts, and building relationships that drive business growth and market penetration.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within life sciences (biotech, pharma, medical devices) and advanced manufacturing (semiconductor, aerospace, precision engineering).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in Quality, Facilities, Engineering, and Operations.
- Understand and communicate Controlled’s ISO 9001:2015 and GMP-compliant service offerings and how they support regulatory compliance, contamination control, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals that address client-specific cleanroom and critical environment needs.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics in both sectors.
- Lead client presentations and site visits, showcasing Controlled’s technical capabilities and commitment to quality.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Support client onboarding and ensure a smooth transition to operations, with a focus on long-term satisfaction and retention.
Primary Results Accountable For Achieving
- Territory Growth: Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand Controlled’s presence within the assigned geographic territory.
- Market Development: Identify and penetrate new accounts in life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors.
- Field Engagement: Maintain a strong presence in the territory through regular client visits, networking, and participation in industry events.
- New Business Acquisition: Secure new accounts and meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Pipeline Development: Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Client Retention & Expansion: Increase wallet share within existing accounts.
- Compliance & Quality Alignment: Ensure all solutions meet ISO 9001:2015 and GMP standards.
- Forecast Accuracy: Deliver timely and accurate sales forecasts.
- Brand Representation: Represent Controlled professionally in all external interactions.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in technical or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO 9001:2015, cleanroom classifications (ISO 3–9), or critical environment protocols is highly desirable.
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with technical and executive audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. Salesforce preferred.
Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
- Experience in sales, marketing or related field.
