Position Summary
IRCCO is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ACO Program & Analytics Associate to support the operations and data analytics of our value-based care programs. This role is ideal for candidates with some professional experience in healthcare analytics or program coordination who are ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll work closely with senior staff and external partners to manage data, support compliance, and contribute to the success of our Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiatives. This is a growth-oriented position with opportunities to expand your skills in healthcare data, regulatory compliance, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
Program Administration & Compliance
- With guidance, manage application and certification requirements for each value-based care program.
- Responsible for timely data submissions to payers (CMS, BCBS) as required by our value-based care contracts.
- Will support, and eventually lead, IRCCO’s ACO-focused compliance program with all applicable rules and regulations.
- Working with IRCCO’s Process Improvement Coaches and our Member organizations, help collect and submit accurate provider/supplier lists to CMS and other payers.
- Assist with the distribution of patient beneficiary assignments to ACO members.
Data Integration & Analysis
- Learn to extract and integrate clinical, quality, and cost data from various sources (e.g., CMS CCLF files, EHR systems, payor and third-party software).
- Regularly evaluate data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop specialized electronic reports for Board and member distribution, and support special projects as needed.
- Maintain technical files and records in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Monitoring & Vendor Oversight
- Stay current with evolving ACO requirements and Medicare administrative rules, including operations, contracting, and quality reporting.
- Will be expected to take on the Compliance Officer role for the ACO within six months of hire.
- Track project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage relationships with analytics vendors and lead new software implementations as needed.
Project Management & Communication
- Organize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, solving complex and undefined problems.
- Lead or participate in meetings, training sessions, and status updates via conference calls or in-person.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, take clear notes, and distribute minutes to stakeholders.
- Adapt to changing duties and timelines while meeting assignment deadlines.
Travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license for occasional travel to IRCCO’s member sites, in-State conferences, and client meetings (<10% expected).
- Additional travel will include professional training and conference attendance within IL and nationally (overnight stays required).
Required Qualifications
- Experience with using data to drive clinical workflow improvements, particularly within value-based care contracts.
- Familiarity with ACO or payer-provided value-based care data platforms to generate actionable reports.
- Experience with MIPS, Quality Measures, and CMS regulatory guidelines regarding patient privacy, compliance, and data security. Ideally as a consultant, informaticist, CMA, and/or LPN.
- Strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn new (and complex) processes, and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work independently or lead group projects, holding yourself and team members accountable to goals and timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with ACOs or similar value-based care organizations (CMS and/or commercial payors).
- Experience managing provider/supplier lists, submitting MSSP ACO applications, and entering quality data via CMS web interface.
- At least 1 year of experience transforming raw claims, clinical, and quality data into detailed analytics reports using platforms such as Arcadia, Lightbeam, or Acclivity.
- Familiar with annual ACO compliance reporting
Skills, Competencies, & Other Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams
- Familiarity with clinical analytics software (EHRs, population health software, etc)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare and present complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Vaccination Requirement: IRCCO requires all employees to be up to date with current vaccinations in accordance with CDC guidelines and organizational policy. Proof of vaccination and/or lab results may be requested as part of the onboarding process.
