As an Application Engineer, you will be overseeing Oracle ERP and POS applications that include Point-of-Sale, financial management, inventory management, customer experience management, supply chain management, and reporting/analytics. The Application Engineer will act as a bridge between customers and product development teams. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software and technical solutions to meet business requirements while ensuring optimal functionality and performance. This role involves technical support, application customizations, and collaboration with cross functional business groups to deliver tailored solutions that drive business processes, efficiencies, and automation. This position will work closely with end-users, IT teams, System Implementers, and 3rd party vendors as necessary to support and enhance application performance.
- Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical application analyst to support the design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Xstore Point of Sale (POS) system and related Oracle ERP applications.
- The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Xstore and related apps’ solutions meet business needs and align with organizational goals.
- Work with end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Oversee and maintain optimal function of core applications, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where current systems do not meet business needs.
- Define and document system configurations, workflows, and integration dependencies.
- Communicate end-user feedback and technical challenges to the product development team to identify solutions.
- Support the implementation of system upgrades, patches and enhancements.
- Monitor application performance for core ERP applications and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement leveraging system capabilities.
- Ability to leverage automation tasks, bots, and/or AI to improve system capabilities and operational processes.
- Collaborate with leadership, business stakeholders, internal and external partners, and QA team to drive strategic deliveries.
- Create functional documents such as training instructions for end users.
- Stay current on system capabilities, features, and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
- Analyze and review enhancements for compatibility and ensure they adhere to operating guidelines.
- Participate in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
- Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

Essential Qualities for Success
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years of applications support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years’ experience with Oracle ERP applications
- Excellent communication (Written & Verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with SQL, database management, scripting, and/or programming languages is a plus
- Experience with reporting and BI tools.
- Ability to prioritized and work effectively under minimum supervision
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations or after-hours support as needed
- Strong attention to detail

The pay range for this position is $83,250 – $95,000 annualized and is bonus eligible. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
