Sales Representative (Field – Agency Relations)

Primary Purpose: Responsible for generating premium growth and strengthening agent relationships. This is a field-based sales role focused on recruiting new independent insurance agents, increasing production from existing partners, and delivering in-person training and support to ensure strong program performance and retention.

  • Drive territory premium growth by recruiting new agents, growing current agency relationships, and identifying production opportunities.
  • Plan and execute weekly in-person visits to independent agencies to train staff, promote products, and reinforce underwriting guidelines and sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present sales materials that support agent understanding of pricing, program differences, rating tools, and competitive advantages.
  • Actively monitor agent quoting behavior and bind rates using company-provided reports and dashboards; follow up with coaching and support.
  • Maintain a structured travel plan to maximize agency coverage and follow-up, based on geographic strategy and production potential.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and association meetings; engage with prospects and build territory presence.
  • Maintain detailed records of visits, agent interactions, and insights in company CRM or designated tracking tools.
  • Provide timely feedback to leadership on competitor activity, pricing shifts, and field-level market trends.
  • Meet or exceed monthly performance targets, including premium goals, agency engagement metrics, and visit frequency.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with internal Marketing, Underwriting, and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and program adoption by agencies.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.

2. Minimum of two years of successful experience in sales or marketing roles.

3. Experience in the personal lines insurance space with a working knowledge of products, pricing, and agent distribution models.

4. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision.

5. Builds trust and rapport with peers, leadership, and external partners through professionalism, communication, and collaboration.

6. Demonstrates strong recall and follow-through on direction from team meetings and leadership guidance.

7. Maintains discretion with confidential matters and consistently acts with integrity.

8. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experienced in using CRM platforms and mileage tracking apps (e.g., MileIQ).

9. Maintains consistent travel schedule to support in-person agency visits, meetings, and events.

10. Available to work extended hours when field travel, meetings, or business needs require it.Preferre

2. Spanish-English bilingual ability strongly preferred for agent and customer-facing communication
