Our client is a leading water treatment company supporting industrial and institutional customers across the Chicago, Illinois area. They design and deliver programs for boilers, cooling towers, closed loops, and wastewater systems, combining best-in-class chemistry with reliable onsite technical support to drive asset protection, safety, and regulatory compliance.

About the Role:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join their team in the Chicago, Illinois area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 5 years in selling water treatment chemicals. The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing the client base, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and product presentations to prospective and current clients.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to clients regarding water treatment chemicals and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling water treatment chemicals.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment chemicals and their applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
