About the Role

The Associate Account Executive is an early-career, full-cycle sales role designed for individuals looking to grow into a consultative technology sales professional. In this role, you’ll build relationships, support opportunity development, and learn how to sell complex IT professional services. Your first year will focus heavily on partner-associated opportunities and select account growth, with ongoing support from our corporate sales support team. This role offers hands-on exposure to discovery, solution shaping, and client conversations, supported by coaching and mentorship throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Support partner-associated sales efforts and joint account planning
  • Conduct prospect research and assist with discovery preparation and follow-up
  • Learn to identify client needs and align them with Improving’s services
  • Manage and maintain sales pipeline activity
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and solution discussions
  • Build foundational skills in pricing, proposals, and commercial conversations
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, recruiting, and partner teams

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, customer success, or a related client-facing role

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in technology, consulting, or professional services sales
  • Curious, coachable, and motivated to learn and grow
  • Comfortable communicating with internal teams and external partners
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong in follow-through

Candidates must be based in one of the following locations and be willing to work onsite most days: Atlanta, Columbus, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, or Omaha.
