Purpose of Job: This position is for the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. The Associate Clinical Field Engineer provides a broad spectrum of clinical expertise, product knowledge and service support to the company’s navigation portfolio and accounts in the field. Ensures the best possible user experience with the navigation technology encompassing a vast surgical environment from patient diagnosis through clinical treatment. This position supports clinical evaluations, service agreements, installations, and field support among other responsibilities focused at the customer level.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support product evaluations across all point of care locations in ENT to gain customer confidence in related products.
  • Provide knowledge-based product expertise to ensure customers receive best possible experience with company products.
  • Perform maintenance and service to capital equipment installed in the field.
  • Perform product installations at customer site, optimizing their product setup and workflow.
  • Gather field-based data and information requested by the company to build out customer profiles and improve the companies understanding of customer demands.
  • Provide reports to management detailing work and accomplishments in the field during customer visits focusing on end results.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong desire to work in the medical device industry.
  • Experience and understanding surgical workflows.
  • Understanding of capital equipment and software interfaces preferred.
  • Healthcare background or experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required
  • Service minded individuals who can manage challenging environments involving healthcare professionals during surgery
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time proficiently
  • Able to complete tasks independently and efficiently with attention to detail

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS, VISUAL ACUITY, AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Activity – Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Physical Requirements – Critical. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including product inventory. Job requires extensive air & vehicle travel obligations which must be reasonably managed and performed by employee.
  • Visual Acuity – The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal & monitor; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Working Conditions – Individual will be required to interact with healthcare professionals on a daily basis visiting customer accounts in the field. The individual will interact with Independent Sales Representatives (ISR) both locally and nationally.
  • Travel Requirements – The individual must be comfortable and willing to travel extensively to customer locations to perform products installations & evaluations. Must be willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time to meet job requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
