The Business Development and Fiscal Sponsor Associate supports and coordinates activities and documents related to business development and potential fiscal sponsorship. The associate works closely with the manager and provides support on all business development activities. Additionally, the associate coordinates materials related to business development for the Finance & Business Services Team and ensures all materials are organized, updated, and filed appropriately.  

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Screens inquiries and referrals for those seeking fiscal sponsorship services  
  • Schedules preliminary meetings with potential clients   
  • Attends potential client meetings and takes the notes/minutes 
  • Drafts proposals and fiscal sponsorship agreements for prospective projects using provided templates  
  • Conducts research and synthesizes gathered data around best practices for fiscal sponsorship 
  • Documents Business Development Team procedures  
  • Collaborates across teams and departments to assess and promote service options for prospective clients  
  • Maintains databases of prospects that track the progress of the relationship and capture key information  
  • Coordinates and maintains a document library for all things related to business development and potential clients for the Finance & Business Services team 

  

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree required with 2+ years of experience  
  • OR a bachelor’s degree in business administration, fundraising/philanthropy, or another related field from an accredited college or university and up to 1 year of experience  
  • Prior work experience in a support or administrative position required; prior experience supporting business development, financial, or fundraising functions are a plus  
  • High emotional IQ with the ability to work cooperatively with others within and across functions at all levels 
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 tools  
  • Strong aptitude for learning new things  
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required  
  • Motivated self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision  

  

 Working at Global Impact : 

This is a full-time position and may be fully remote in the Eastern or Central time zones. Travel to headquarters in Washington, D.C., for team meetings is needed on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, D.C. office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $45,000 – $55,000 depending on the experience you have. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
