We are hiring an IT Support & Backend Specialist to bridge backend systems, operational software, and on-ground execution in a live depot environment. This role goes beyond routine IT support and works closely with developers to ensure systems remain reliable in operations that run continuously.
The role requires hands-on expertise in SQL for backend support and database queries, along with a strong working knowledge of Crystal Reports, IIS, and MS Office (especially Excel) for reporting and system validation. Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for automation and reporting is essential to drive efficiency and scalability.
Our depots operate 24×7; however, this is not a shift-based role. The position requires readiness to provide remote support when operational continuity demands it, along with hands-on support for hardware, network, and surveillance systems. This role offers direct exposure to the shipping and container depot ecosystem, one of the most critical industries driving global trade, with strong learning and growth potential for candidates eager to build real-world systems.
Key Responsibilities:Backend & Application Support
- Work closely with software developers to test, deploy, and maintain applications.
- Write and execute SQL queries, monitor logs, and assist in resolving backend issues.
- Provide real-time application support to ensure uninterrupted depot operations.
- Share ground-level UI/UX feedback and assist with basic wireframes or screen sketches when required.
Implementation & User Training
- Act as the primary point of contact for system-related queries from depot and office teams.
- Train users, especially operations staff, in efficient, independent system use.
- Prepare basic SOPs and quick guides for non-technical users.
Hardware, Network & Surveillance Support
- Troubleshoot and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, routers, and CCTV systems.
- Respond to system outages and coordinate with vendors when required.
- Support system installations, upgrades, and basic network configurations.
Required Skills:
- SQL for backend support and database queries
- Crystal Reports, IIS, MS Office (strong Excel skills mandatory)
- Familiarity with AI tools for automation or reporting
- Basic UI/UX or wire-framing skills (Figma, Balsamiq, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of hardware, CCTV, printers, and networking devices
- Ability to balance backend coordination with on-ground troubleshooting

Qualifications & Fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT support with exposure to both software and hardware
- Clear communication across technical and non-technical teams
- Willingness to be hands-on at depot locations when required
