Role: Microsoft Power BI Developer

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid) – Remote allowed (East Coast candidates preferred)

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft Power BI Developer with strong experience across the Microsoft Power Platform to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, SharePoint integrations, and automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SharePoint Site Setup and Maintenance
  • Create and manage SharePoint lists for monthly data uploads from multiple sources (Excel, etc.).
  • Add columns, calculations, and necessary metadata to support reporting.
  • Power BI Development
  • Build and connect Power BI dashboards to SharePoint lists and other data sources.
  • Develop interactive reports focused on Budget, Status, Owner, and Timeline.
  • Design and implement efficient data models using Power BI Desktop and Power Query (M).
  • Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, and other cloud services.
  • Manage data refresh schedules and Power BI Service deployments.
  • Power Apps
  • Design and develop Power Apps forms to capture and approve project data.
  • Enable mobile form access for creating and updating projects on the go.
  • Power Automate
  • Create email and Teams alerts triggered by status changes or specific events.
  • Automate data and workflow processes for efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Governance
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to align solutions with business needs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot report and dataset performance.
  • Maintain documentation for data models, report logic, and workflows.
