We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth through data analysis, strategic planning, and supporting sales initiatives. The Sales Analyst will collaborate closely with sales management, marketing, and customer service teams to optimize sales strategies and expand market reach.
This position is a highly visible role that is responsible for research and analysis supporting the consumer products business unit. This ideal candidate will roll up their sleeves to dive deep in analyses and models, while also keeping the big picture and practicality in mind. Candidates need to have strong business partnership skills, demonstrated by the ability to communicate clearly and build a strong relationship with their business partner. This position is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales-related data, trends, and insights in an on-going effort to increase sales productivity and effectiveness. This position will create reports, conduct sales analysis, provide support for internal, retailer & distributor programs and manage CRM data in Salesforce to ensure that KPIs are properly measured.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Β· Serve as a strategic and analytical business partner to the sales department
Β· Partner with teammates to analyze go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, and performance
Β· Assist in the strategic planning efforts for global sales, which include plan modeling, quota assignments, and market/customer segmentation
Β· Proactively identify opportunities for accelerating growth through new processes, sales plays, strategies, cross-functional initiatives, etc.
Β· Create and maintain detailed models to support both short- and long-term strategic planning for growth initiatives.
Β· Develop relationships and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Β· Mine and analyze sales data
Β· Manage the sales data (Scan) and CRM (Sales Force) to ensure that KPIs and sales goals are tracked correctly
Β· Establish new data gathering and analysis techniques (Scan Data)
Β· Maintain support systems and serve as the primary contact for the maintenance of trade wholesale and retail programs / promotions
Β· Accountable for reporting competitive activity and developing data for strategic plans and operational forecasts
Β· Ability to think creatively, communicate professionally, and demonstrate objectivity in the assessment of information
Β· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
REQUIREMENTS
Β· Bachelorβs Degree, preferably in business or a related field2+ years of experience in an analytical role in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, Finance or other related field(s)
Β· Experience in Consumer Products and/or Retail industries a plus
Β· Proficient with Excel, Power Point, and Salesforce, experience with Power BI a plus
Β· Strong oral and written communication, planning, coordinating, research and analytical skills
Β· Excellent strategic and operational thinker with a team first attitude
