We are seeking a Junior Social Media Executive to support the day-to-day running of Maddox Galleryβs social channels. This is an execution-focused role for someone early in their career who is organised, detail-oriented, eager to learn and passionate about art and culture.
You will focus primarily on content execution, scheduling, community support, and event coverage, working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and the wider Marketing Team. Guidance, structured development support and regular check-ins will ensure that priorities and workload remain clear.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build strong social media fundamentals within a collaborative gallery environment, with the opportunity to progress into a longer-term position.
Key responsibilities
Content creation and scheduling
- Support the creation and adaptation of platform-first content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other key channels.
- Assist with maintaining the content calendar and scheduling posts accurately and on time.
- Prepare content for announcements, exhibitions, partnerships, and events, ensuring alignment with brand tone and visuals.

- Support pre-publish quality assurance, including formatting, tagging, links, and caption accuracy across platforms.
- Source occasional user-generated or partner content, ensuring correct permissions and credits where required.
Community support and enquiries

- Maintain a professional, discreet, and brand-appropriate tone at all times.
- Monitor and moderate comments to protect brand reputation, escalating sensitive issues where necessary.
- Share recurring audience themes or sentiment insights with the team to help inform content planning.
Events and live coverage
- Support social coverage during private views and key gallery moments, including capturing behind-the-scenes content.
- Occasional work outside standard hours may be required – this will be planned in advance and balanced fairly with time off in lieu.
- Capture and preserve event content for future storytelling and reference.
Partnerships and influencer assistance (supporting role)
- Assist the Partnerships, Events and Public Relations Manager with basic research, coordination, and administrative support for creators and collaborators.
- Help maintain simple trackers for deliverables and timelines, with core social delivery remaining the primary focus of the role.
- Collect performance screenshots and post links from collaborations to support reporting and learning.
Tracking, organisation and reporting
- Keep assets, captions, and schedules well organised and clearly documented to support smooth approvals and collaboration.
- Assist with performance tracking using tools such as Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, and LinkedIn analytics (training provided).
- Maintain simple reporting sheets or dashboards to ensure data is consistent and easy to reference over time.
- Help benchmark results against previous periods and identify high-performing formats, themes, or content styles.
- Support light competitor and inspiration monitoring, sharing relevant examples and learnings with the team.
- Contribute observations on content performance – strategic interpretation remains team-led.
Paid channels (training-supported, gradual exposure)
- Over time, assist with the creation of new paid social advertisements, working alongside the Marketing Director to understand which content performs best across paid channels.
Executive support
- Support the team with occasional drafting and formatting for leadership social posts, ensuring tone and polish match Maddox standards.
What success looks like
- Posts are delivered on time, accurate and on-brand.
- Community responses are professional, calm and timely.
- Engagement increases during key events and campaigns.
