About Maryland Dance Project

Maryland Dance Project (MDDP) is a women-owned dance studio and creative community serving youth, teens, and adults. We offer high-quality dance education, performance opportunities, and pre-professional training in a supportive, inclusive environment. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a motivated and creative Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help elevate our brand and connect with our community.

About the Role

This flexible, part-time position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, organization, and strategy. You’ll play a key role in shaping MDDP’s digital presence, supporting studio promotions, and helping convert interest into enrollment.

This role is best suited for a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of projects, thinking creatively, and working in a fast-paced, performance-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to customer communication across social media platforms and email
  • Lead social media content planning, creation, scheduling, and posting
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and program announcements
  • Support planning and promotion of outreach and community events
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads
  • Track, organize, and follow up with incoming leads
  • Update website content, program details, and promotions as needed
  • Support additional marketing and administrative tasks as the studio grows
  • BONUS: Videography + video editing knowledge

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: 8–12 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with hybrid remote/on-site work
  • Available Friday evenings 6:45-9:15 pm (on-site)
  • $25/hour+, based on experience
