Underwriting Support Specialist
We are seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to an underwriting team in a fast-paced, professional office environment. This role works closely with team members to help ensure efficient workflows, accurate documentation, and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily administrative and underwriting support to the underwriting team
- Manage shared inboxes, incoming emails, and related documentation
- Assist with processing, reviewing, and organizing underwriting files
- Apply established procedures while exercising sound judgment in situations with gray areas
- Support desk management and coordination of underwriting workflows
- Collaborate closely with another Underwriting Support Specialist in a similar role
- Deliver professional and responsive customer service to internal and external partners
Qualifications
- Experience in underwriting support, insurance, banking, mortgage, or financial services preferred
- Strong professional customer service background
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving processes
- Bachelorβs degree preferred, particularly in accounting, banking, finance, or a related field (not required)
