Responsible for the deployment, provisioning, hardening, and optimization of DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure and related cloud services. Utilizes scripting and infrastructure technologies for environment orchestration. Collaborates with cross functional teams for the deployment and ongoing support of cloud services to both internal stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • DevOps Experience in AWS Cloud environment using services like EKS, EC2, S3, API Gateway, Aurora and RDS, IAM, Systems Manager, AWS Config, etc.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket versioning systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD software delivery pipelines & tools for an enterprise scale system with a large developer base.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with container-based application solutions and Kubernetes.
  • Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining all DevSecOps environment components.
  • Creating and maintaining scripts for automating the deployment of tools to multiple AWS cloud environments.
  • Aid in automating and streamlining processes and operations.
  • Defining CI/CD recommended practices and processes.
  • Control, plan, and direct all aspects of planned updates and change propagation, ensuring that only validated and approved changes are implemented.
  • Create and maintain release plans, documentation for version descriptions, implementation plans, and release notes, as applicable.
  • Establishes best practices for building and operating highly reliable systems.
  • Consults in system design to meet reliability and capacity requirements.
  • Optimizes performance and reliability.
  • Supports deployment of new applications and upgrades or patching of existing applications.
  • Automates infrastructure and configuration management.
  • Identifies potential security and reliability threats and provides solutions to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as code and configuration management using Terraform, and Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with Agile scrum teams or tenants to establish and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide access management to Infrastructure and DevOps tools.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, collaborate with AWS support for resolution.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing system performance via analysis and potential modifications.
  • Develop solutions for Monitoring, Alerting, and Trending with AWS Cloudwatch, SNS, Datadog and Splunk.
  • Be available to provide on-call support and incident response during mission-critical events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3-4 years of cloud engineering experience, working with one or more vendor platforms.
  • 4+ years experience debugging Microsoft Windows or Linux based operating systems in an administrative/support/engineering capacity

  • Able to write and run ad-hoc scripts (using Bash, Python or similar) to automate DevOps processes.

  • Ability to Monitor and manage system resources and application performance.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated and positive attitude to work independently in a team environment.
