Underwriting Support Specialist

We are seeking an Underwriting Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to an underwriting team in a fast-paced, professional office environment. This role works closely with team members to help ensure efficient workflows, accurate documentation, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative and underwriting support to the underwriting team
  • Manage shared inboxes, incoming emails, and related documentation
  • Assist with processing, reviewing, and organizing underwriting files
  • Apply established procedures while exercising sound judgment in situations with gray areas
  • Support desk management and coordination of underwriting workflows
  • Collaborate closely with another Underwriting Support Specialist in a similar role
  • Deliver professional and responsive customer service to internal and external partners

Qualifications

  • Experience in underwriting support, insurance, banking, mortgage, or financial services preferred
  • Strong professional customer service background
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving processes
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in accounting, banking, finance, or a related field (not required)
